Once again the KOHLER group redefines the standards of customer service. iService is born, the new multimedia platform, which unites with the traditional tool of consultation of technical manuals, a renewed usability offered by technological evolution thanks to the Linkersys technology. An innovative solution which combines efficiency and efficacy of information, a single environment containing the entire after sale world of Kohler Engines: user and maintenance manuals, office manuals, replacement parts catalogues, and an entire area devoted to our system of warranty. The system moreover offers the opportunity of utilizing on-line training (Distance Learning) and of being able to understand one’s own acquired level of expertise through a system of automatic evaluation.

The system, at present available only for the KDI motor, will be progressively extended to the entire family of diesel and petrol motors of KOHLER Engines. This platform, conceived to respond to the needs both of the service network and of the ultimate users, contains within it interactive contents that are easy to consult and simple to navigate, both from a pc and from a smartphone or tablet.

Lombardini has chosen SAP and its partner Desys for this project for several reasons. First of all, the ease of interface: already having SAP in a managerial role, the extension of its services also to technical documentation was simple and quick. The platform offere many services, like the possibility of utilizing distance learning/training, thereby innovating the range of services that can be offered to customers. Finally, the possibility of uploading in HDR (High Definition Rendering) technical documents, replacement-parts tables, and instructional videos.

Brembo

Brembo SpA, the world leader in the design, development and production of braking systems for autos and motorbikes, adopted our Linkersys solution as a visual and collaborative web platform for its production plants. The 3D of the plants became "smart" thanks to our 2D and 3D visual documentation technology. The documentation of the plants became completely visual in order to break down every cultural and linguistic barrier within Brembo's World Wide establishments: navigation through the interactive plant, management of HTML5 manuals with video support, interactive 3D for the assembly instructions of machines, interactive and 3D corrective and preventive maintenance, help desk and replacement parts management, all within the same Linkersys web platform. The platform will soon be connected with the loT systems adopted by Brembo. The initial launch of the collaborative web platform took place during the inauguration of their new plant in Mexico. We in fact helped Brembo in their 4.0 Industry projects by placing our Virtual Reality systems also on the visors (Oculus Rift) connected with Linkersys.

MTC

MTC, a leader in the construction of machines for the transformation of paper, has been followed by Desys since 1999 with the implementation of CAD 3D Solid Edge and then with the PDM SolidRules system. In the last few months, MTC has adopted the Linkersys collaborative web system and the visual 3D technology SAP 3D Visual Enterprise for the management of replacement parts of the production lines provided to their clients. With Linkersys Advanced CMS and Spare Parts Management, the client navigates on his Plant Line and can consult the documentation and replacement parts of every single module of the line.

The Visual BOM (Bill of Materials) of every single module of the line is managed in Linkersys, and by simply clicking on the desired 3D component and placing it into the "shopping cart", it's possible to ask for a price quote from MTC. The client can also insert his own codes into the system, facilitating management and maintenance within the factory.

With this system in a very short time you can manage the entire plant line with a click of SAP 3D Visual Enterprise, reading, without any errors, the 3D design assemblies, and preparing it for the management of spare parts, without having to develop exploded views of all of our lines, which took several weeks. Dondi, a leading company in the construction of farm machinery, has not only used for a number of years 3D (Solid Edge) technology and design and the PDM SolidRules InCentro system, implemented by Desys, but today also uses SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author for the management of its visual documentation. Dondi’s choice was oriented towards a software capable of interfacing perfectly with 3D design systems and was also ready for the on-line sharing of technical documentation, in line with the new directives of the 4.0 Industry.

Carer

Carer Forklifts, a leader in the design and production of electric forklifts, has adopted the Linkersys collaborative web platform for its after sale services and the solution of integrated SAP 3D Visual Enterprise 3D visual documentation.

Carer's customers, simply by "surfing" within their products in particular protected areas of the system, can utilize the technical replacement parts on-line service by simply clicking on the component and/or 3D assembly desired which is connected to the register numbers of the products that they had acquired and to the 2D tables of some of the components.

With this technology, we no longer need to perform the exploded view of every single designed group, but we restructure the replacement assembly thanks to SAP 3D Visual Enterprise and, with a click, we upload the data into the Linkersys web system. Within the Linkersys web platform, the client can peruse the replacement-parts tree, and inside the 3D environment – without having to download any client-side plug-in – goes to select the component, and with a simple “add to the shopping cart” followed by “checkout”, the list of replacement parts ordered from our company appears, which is then immediately processed by our ERP system."
